Here's a personal message from Exotic Erotic Ball founder Perry Mann:
"It's been 27 years since Louis Abolafia and I founded the Exotic Erotic Ball. Louis was best known for coining the phrase 'Make Love, Not War', and we created the Ball as an extension of that philosophy. I have thought of Louis often since he died in 1995, but never more so than this year, as I prepare for our greatest Exotic Erotic Ball ever - our 27th Anniversary Show.
We wanted to make the Ball bigger and better this year, and also make our message heard louder and clearer. So - we expanded our team, and put forth attractive marketing propositions to businesses that we believed would benefit from an exposure to our audience. We added an Exotic Erotic Expo as a 2 day event. We booked guest speakers and celebrated authors for that Expo, and asked them to focus on truly raising consciousness for the important freedom issues that affect us all this Election year, including real discussions on our First Amendment rights. The Expo is open to the public from noon to 6PM , and then the doors close. At 8PM , doors re-open for the Ball, and the Expo re-opens as well.
Our 27th Anniversary Exotic Erotic Ball will be a spectacular event. It's a masquerade of unbridled fun with elaborate festivities that are, of course, highly stimulating. If you peruse this web site you will see that we have pulled out the stops to put on the best show we possibly can, and through it all, we've remained true to our original credo.
Make Love, Not War - it once was the battle cry of our entire youth culture, but it's never been a truer, more appropriate message than it is today. I miss Louis, and I can't wait to feel his spirit soar again at the Pier 94 this June 17. Happy Anniversary, buddy."
